Hi, I'm Mia Hailes, founder of Sensei Tech.

I'm a U.S. Navy veteran, technology educator, and trainer with more than a decade of experience helping people confidently navigate today's digital world.

Throughout my career, I've worked in technical support, healthcare IT, government technology, and employee training. I've supported thousands of users, solved countless technology challenges, and discovered something that changed the way I teach:

That's why I created Sensei Tech.

My mission is to make technology approachable, practical, and empowering for everyone. Whether you're learning how to use a computer for the first time, trying to troubleshoot everyday problems, or simply wanting to feel more confident online, my goal is to help you understand technology—not just memorize steps.

As a technology trainer for local government, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-follow lessons that anyone can understand. I believe learning should be hands-on, encouraging, and free of judgment because every expert was once a beginner.

The name Sensei reflects my teaching philosophy. A sensei is more than an instructor—they are a guide who helps others build confidence through patience, practice, and experience. That's the environment I strive to create in every class.

When I'm not teaching technology, I'm a published author, speaker, youth mentor, and lifelong learner who is passionate about helping people grow in confidence, whether that's through digital literacy, education, or personal development.
